Yıldız Technical University has issued detention warrants for 103 academics, 73 of them have been detained.
The academics were detained as part of the operation run by Yıldız Technical University into Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ), according to state-run Anadolu Agency.
As of 10 a.m., names of the academics didn’t appear in the press.
Searches in the houses and offices
Search warrants were issued by İstanbul Chief Public Prosecution for 103 academics’ houses and offices.
Searchers were carried out in houses and offices of the academics, 73 of them were detained.
The academics were taken to İstanbul Security Directorate following their medical examinations in Haseki Education and Research Hospital. It was alleged that some are users of Bylock, the encoded software of the FETÖ, and some others are members of the organization. (BK/TK)
