Etkin News Agency (ETHA) reporter Adil Demirci, who lives in Germany and was detained on April 13 in a house raid in İstanbul, where he came for vacation, has been arrested on charges of "being a member of an illegal organization" and "propagandizing for a terrorist organization" by the Criminal Court of Peace on Duty, where he was referred to.
With the arrest of Adil Demirci, the number of arrested ETHA journalists has risen to four. The detention periods of editor Semiha Şahin and reporter Pınar Gayıp, who were taken into custody at the same night with Adil Demirci, are still continuing.
Two reporters and one editor are held in detention
ETHA, whose website is blocked since July 27, 2015, continues to publish its news on Facebook. ETHA editor İsminaz Temel and its reporter Havva Cuştan were arrested on October 25 and reporter Ali Sönmez Kayar on February 6. (BK/SD)
