Charged with “terrorism propaganda” on social media, 11 people have been detained in home raids in Turkey’s southeastern province of Urfa.
The operation was carried out by teams from the Provincial Security Directorate Anti-Terror Branch and Intelligence Bureau Directorates, supported by the special operation forces.
One unregistered gun, 176 bullets, 71 books and magazines declared to contain “organizational content”, were seized.
The detained suspects were taken to Urfa Security Directorate to be deposed.

The Ministry of Interior announced that 449 people were detained due to their social media posts about Afrin operation and 124 people were detained for participating in the demonstrations organized in protest of the operation since January 20 when the offensive began.
In total 573 people have been detained for protesting the offensive.
