According to the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (TİHV) Documentation Center, at least 218 curfews had been declared in 10 provinces and 43 districts since the first curfew entering into force on August 16, 2015.
TİHV in its report on curfews in Turkey issued today (June 1) listed the provinces and districts in which curfews had been declared between 16.08.2015 - 01.06.2017 are as follows:
Diyarbakır (127 times),
Mardin (32 times),
Hakkari (20 times),
Şırnak (13 times),
Bitlis (8 times),
Batman (3 times),
Muş (4 times),
Bingöl (5 times),
Dersim (5 times),
Elazığ (1 times).
At least 218 temporary and indefinite curfews were declared in 10 provinces and 43 districts, says the report.
According to the census on 2014 which took place before the curfews began, at least 1,809,000 people living in these locations were affected by violations of their rights to life and health in particular and were affected by curfews.

The curfews, which entered into force as of May 30, are still in effect in 10 villages in Lice district, 21 villages in Hani district and 10 villages in Dicle district of Diyarbakır. (AS/DG)
