Assistant Prof. Dr. Timuçin Köprülü has announced that he resigned from his duty at Uludağ University.
In messages he shared on social media accounts, Köprülü stated that he resigned from his duty at Uludağ University, Faculty of Law today (February 3).
In 2013, a disciplinary investigation was launched into Köprülü after he wore a t-shirt reading “Resist” during graduation ceremony.
Ankara University academic members had launched a petition to protest the investigation and 669 academics from all over the world joined the petition.
The investigation concluded that there was no need for a disciplinary penalty.
Prof. Dr. Mine Gencel Bek saying “Instead of waiting every day to be fired, I now want to return to the faithful world of reading and writing” had resigned this week from his duty at Ankara University Faculty of Communication.
Bilgin University academic member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Arsan as well announced that she resigned. (BK/TK)
