Explosions have occurred in Diyarbakır and Şırnak provinces in southeastern Turkey. Three police officers have lost their lives in Diyarbakır, the injured in Şırnak have no life threatening situation.
According to the report of state-run Anadolu Agency (AA), an improvised explosive device planted on the road was detonated by members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) while a police vehicle was passing by. Three police officers lost their lives, three others were injured.
According to news website Hürriyet.com.tr, an improvised explosive device planted on the road by PKK members was detonated under the ladle of a contractor firm fixing up the main water system in Dicle neighbourhood of Şırnak province at around 3.15 p.m.
The injured passers-by were brought to Şırnak State Hospital. (NV/DG)
