The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) has brought the photos taken during evacuation of the people in the operations launched in Turkey’s southeastern Sur district in Diyarbakır province to parliamentary agenda.
Diyarbakır MPs Feleknas Uca and Sibel Yiğitalp submitted two parliamentary inquiries to be replied by Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu.
In the inquiries, it was stated that people predominantly consisting of children and women in the images, who were evacuated 104 days after the curfew, were forced to undress and harassed.
The inquiries also include the allegation that the photos were taken by police officers. (YY/TK)
