Being present at Atatürk Airport to leave for Brussels, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP= Şırnak MP Ferhat Encü learned that a ban on leaving the country was imposed on him two hours before his flight.
Encü whose passport has been seized expressed the following:
"My passport was seized due to the ban on leaving the country imposed by Şırnak Criminal Court of Peace at 11 a.m. at İstanbul Atatürk Airport where I came to catch my flight to departure at 12:55 p.m. to attend a program that will take place in Brussels".
On his Twitter account, Encü also mentioned that he wasn't presented any justification for the ban and that there is no ongoing investigation into him.
About Ferhat Encü
Encü was born in Roboski district in Şırnak province on August 5, 1985. High-school graduate Encü speaks Kurdish at very good level.
34 people 28 of whom were from the same family were killed in jet bombardment in Ortasu/Roboski and Gülyazı/Bujes villages in Şırnak's Uludere district on December 28,2011. Encü lost 11 of his relatives in the bombardment.
He was elected Şırnak MP from the HDP in June 7, 2015 elections. Afterwards, he entered the parliament as HDP MP in November 1 snap elections.
He is a member of Commission of Government Business Enterprises at the parliament. (AS/TK)
