The Amnesty is launching a campaign called "Write for Rights!". Within the scope of the campaign, letters and signatures will be sent to authorities for people from all over the world who are exposed to human right violations to be heard.
The Amnesty Turkey will address cases of human rights defender Eren Keskin, Mahmud Ebu Zeyd Shawkan, İlham Tohti and Edward Snowden.
"Don't let Eren Keskin be arrested"
The campaign text read:
"Keskin has been convicted of 'defaming Turkish state' for expressing her ideas about 12-year-old Uğur Kaymaz's killing by security forces in 2014.
"Since that time, she faced the risk of arrest for several times for serving as editor-in-chief at closed Özgür Gündem daily.
"Kesking might be sent to prison for demanding justice. The Amnesty is calling on the Turkish government to lift the legislations restricting freedom of expression and to not arrest Eren Keskin". (AS/TK)
