Şırnak Governorship has announced that Special Security Zone was declared in nine regions of the province for 15 days as of today (October 10).
The coordinates regarding the nine regions have been announced on the official website of the governorate.
The Governorship has stated that the decision was taken in accordance with the Article 11 of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442 and Article 32/A of the Prohibited Military Zones and Security Zones No. 2565 in order to prevent the Separatist Terrorist Organization from setting up bases in the region, ensure public order and national security in the area.
Security Zone in eight regions extended
Sırnak Governorship has announced that the security zone declared in eight regions earlier from September 27 to October 12 was extended for further 15 days.
Most recently, Special Security Zone had been declared in 14 regions in Faraşin area of Beytülşşebap district for 15 days. (AS/DG)
