Police have attacked people, who were trying to attend the commemoration organization in front of Ankara Train Station in memory of 101 people who lost their lives in an attack against Labor, Peace and Democracy Meeting.

Placing barricades on the marching roads, the police didn’t let the ones trying to enter the area in and attacked those, who try to enter the commemoration area, with pepper gas.

As part of the security measures, the police also closed off the ways leading to the scene where the massacre took place.

While security officers are letting only in the first degree relatives of the people who lost their lives in the massacre, a group including Republican People's Party (CHP) Group Deputy chair Özgür Özel, CHP Vice Chair Selin Sayek Böke, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Ankara MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder, CHP İzmir MP Mustafa Balbay and some CHP and HDP MPs entered the area.
Ankara Security Directorate had announced that all kinds of demonstrations and rallies were banned and only a symbolic group consisting of NGOs will be alloed to attend the commemoration. (EKN/TK)
