Two soldiers have lost their lives upon members of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) detonating improvised explosive plants in Şemdinli district of Hakkari province, ons soldier has been injured.
According to the state-run Anadolu Agency, the improvised explosive devices planted on the road near Doski valley in Şemdinli was detonated while a military vehicle ensuring the road safety was driving by.
Two soldiers lost their lives in the attack, one other was injured. He has been sent to Hakkari State Hospital.
An air supported operation has been launched against PKK members in the region. (NV/DG)
