Two soldiers lost their lives in a clash that broke out this morning (September 5) as part of the operations against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) which have been going on for four days in the rural area of Çukurca district in Hakkari.
Soldiers encountered members of PKK this morning during the operations continuing in the Dağbaşı, Kale and Seni Tepe areas in the Çağlayan region of Çukurca district. Two soldiers lost their lives in the clash which broke out. The operation still continues.
According to the report by Doğan News Agency (DHA) a ceremony will be held today at noon by Hakkari Mountain and Brigade Commandership for the soldiers who were killed.
Fırat News Agency (ANF) also reported yesterday that the clashes were continuing into their third day in Marufan and Bilêcan villages in the Ertoş region and Serê Sêvê area of Çukurca district as part of the operations between soldiers and People’s Defence Forces (HPG) (AS/DG)
