One soldier has lost his life, and another been wounded in an operation launched against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Siirt’s Pervari district.
Clashes broke out between security forces and a group of PKK members during the operation, which commenced in the Doğan village rural of Pervari.
The wounded soldier has been taken to Siirt State Hospital by helicopter.
The operation is continuing. (NV/TK)
