Bomb Attack in Cizre

An attack was launched by the PKK this morning with a bomb-laden vehicle nearby the Riot Squad Forces Directorate in Şırnak’s Cizre district

11 police were killed, 78 others including 3 civilians injured.

The blast that took place at around 6:45 a.m. caused huge damage on the building.

Doğan News Agency reported that according to the statement made by the Ministry of Health, medical personnel in Şırnak have been urgently summoned to duty. 12 ambulances and two helicopters have been dispatched to the area.

Fırat News Agency reported that windows of many houses and workplaces broke in Nur, Cudi, Konak, Dicle neighborhoods due to the explosion. (AS/TK)
