The improvised explosive device planted on the road by Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) members has been detonated during the passage of a military vehicle in Şırnak’s Uludere district, two soldiers lost their lives.
The attack occurred at around 12 p.m. today (August 23) in Andaç village in Uludere district.
The explosion took place as the military vehicle heading to the base area was driving by. Two soldiers in the vehicle lost their lives in the massive blast.
Air-supported operation has been launched in the area.
Şemdinli
Another bomb attack was launched in Yeşilova area on Iraqi border 70 km away from Şemdinli district center in Hakkari today.
The improvised explosive device planted on the road during the passage of an armored military vehicle at around 11 a.m., three soldiers were wounded.
The wounded soldiers have been taken to Derecik town and an operation has been started in the area. (AS/TK)
