The ban placed on the theater play, “At the Table of the Sun - Nâzım and Brecht,” performed by Genco Erkal and Tülay Günal, for security reasons within the State of Emergency (OHAL) declared following the coup attempt on July 15 has now been lifted.
The play will continue to be performed at the historical open air Mahmut Muhtar Paşa Mansion of Dostlar Theater, located in the yard of İstanbul Kadıköy High School.

Genco Erkal, on his Twitter account, has announced that the ban on the play was lifted:
“Let everybody hear the wonderful news: Dostlar Theater will further perform its plays in the yard of İstanbul Kadıköy High School! Thanks to everyone who have contribıted”
Tülay Günal has also announced that the ban was lifted in her message:
“Yes, we have received the good news. We will continue our plays. See you soon At the Table of the Sun.
The Republican People’s Party Group Vice Chairperson Levent Gök, in his speech he held in the Parliament on Tuesday (August 9) had referred to the the ban on the play within OHAL and met with some parliament members yesterday (August 10) to ask them to lift the ban.
Genco Erkal has also expressed in his messages:
“So many have put forward their efforts and contributed, that I don’t know which one to mention. Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu, our attorney Turgut Kazan, CHP parliament members, ministers, our governor…
