Fox TV news director Ercan Gün who been taken into custody after July 15 coup attempt and released on bail pending trial and a ban on leaving country, has been taken into custody and brought to İstanbul Security Department within probe into Dink murder.
Gün was in the detention list of the 42 journalists. He was taken into custody on charges of “being a member of Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) / Parallel State Structure (PYD)” and released on on bail pending trial yesterday (July 2).
Including the detention of Gün, number of the those taken into custody within the probe into the murder of Hrant Dink has increased to 27.
About Ercan Gün
Ercan Gün was born in Batman district of Turkey in 1971. He has graduated from İstanbul University Department of Sociology.
Gün started to work for Zaman daily in 1993. He has been police and courthouse reporter for a long time and made many news about terrorism, intelligence, narcotics and organized crimes. He was granted the Best Report of the Year Award by Journalists’ Association of Turkey.
Ercan Gün still works as the news director of Fox TV. (ÇT/UA)
