Many of the soldiers were cadets from Yeşilköy Air Force Academy and Kuleli Military High School.

Soldiers stated that they hid in the tanks for 4-5 hours during the conflicts with the police and citizens.

İstanbul 1st Criminal Judicatory of Peace has ordered release of the soldiers considering content of the case, status of available evidence and their duty and position in the chain of command.

Also the soldiers have been banned from leaving the country. (ÇT/UA)
