Minister of Interior Efkan Ala has issued a statement at parliament as to the attack taking place at the Atatürk Airport International Terminal.
The death toll has risen to 43, 19 of them are not citizens of Turkey, and 94 people are still receiving treatment at hospitals, Ala said.
The Minister Ala briefly spoke as follows:
“One of the three suicide attackers’ identity and origin has been determined.
“The explosives are combination RDX and TNT mixture, fabrication type. Experts of this know these information are highly important.
“The matter is being comprehensively investigated. The findings suggest that the attack was launched by DAEŞ (ISIS) terror organization”.
Exclusion order on 50,177 people
Efkan Ala said the following as to the crossings from Syria:
“Turkey is the country which fights most severely against terrorism in the world. Syrian lands have turned into living space of various terror organizations. Policy of trying to keep terrorists away from your own country only is useless.
“We have issued exclusion order on 50,177 people who are related to terror activities”. (AS/TK)
