PKK launched an attack by a bomb-laden vehicle during the driving of police vehicle on Ergani street in 27 Mayıs Neighborhood of Dicle district in Diyarbakır.
Two police one of whom heavily and six civilians injured in the explosion. Of the police taken into hospital, Mustafa Yıldırım (25) lost his life. Yıldırım’s family residing in Elazığ province has been informed.
Houses and workplaces around have been damaged due to the impact of the explosion.
A car mechanic working 500 meters away from the scene in his statement to Doğan News Agency said, “All of our windows got broken with the boom. When I headed out soon after, I saw black smokes rising from the scene. I ran into car pieces when I headed out. We survived by chance”. (AS/TK)
