Diyarbakır Governorship Provincial Gendarmerie Commandership announced that operation has been launched against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), and that curfew has been declared in 39 villages of three districts in Diyarbakır.
21 areas of the city have been declared Temporal Military Security Zone for the dates between June 16-December 31.
Exits and entrances to the districts has been banned.
Districts of Lice, Hazro and Kocaköy
The villages on where curfew will be imposed are listed in the statement as follows:
Gözebaşı, Gökçe, Boyunlu villages in Kocaköy district
Çitlibahçe village in Hazro district
Villages of Örtülü, Erginköy, Kıralan, Dernek, Yamaçlı, Akçabudak, Kılıçlı, Yorulmaz, Yalımlı, Baharlar, Hedik, Bayırlı, Saydamlı, Bağlan, Serince, Yalaza, Ortaç, Kayacık, Uçarı, Esenler, Ziyaret, Dolunay, Çavundur, Çağdaş, Dibekköy, Yolçatı, Arıklı, Ulucak, Güldiken, Yaprakköy, Tuzlaköy, Damar, Sığınak, Budak ve Kabakaya in Lice district.
Curfew lifted in Kulp
The Governorship has announced that the operations in Şenyayla and Billurderesi areas of Kulp district ended, and that curfew declared on June 22 lifted on the same day at 7:30 p.m. (AS/TK)
