Death toll has increased to five in Kilis in the rocket attack launched yesterday (April 19) from ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) held territory in Syria.
A Syrian sheppard, Kamil Cerruh and other four Syrian children have been killed by the rocket dropping on Yavuz Sultan Selim neighborhood.
State-run Anadolu Agency has reported that the building which the rocket hit belongs to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation, and 30 children who lost their fathers at war are staying with their mothers. Four children have lost their lives by the rocket hitting the building.
Nine Syrian families were living in the building which has been open over a year, the foundation’s vice president Abdulgani Şevag stated.
The children losing their lives are expected to sepulchered in Kilis.
ISIS rockets
Municipality worker Mehmet Hanifi Sağlam (48) wounded by the rocket fired yesterday on Kilis, has lost his life in Kilis State Hospital where he was taken for treatment. Another municipality worker had died in the morning hours.
12 people wounded by the five Katyusha rockets dropping on Kilis on April 11.
Two rockets launched on Kilis from ISIS-held territory in Syrian on April 7, which left three wounded.
The number of people killed in rocket attacks from ISIS territory has reached 11. (NV/TK)
