Curfew has entered its 27th day in Turkey’s southeastern Yüksekova district of Hakkari province. Smokes rising above the houses have been seen as a result of the operation today.
According to Yüksekova News, artillery shootings launched on the neighborhoods of Dize, Kışla, Orman, Mezarlık and Cumhuriyet.
There were reportedly explosions and booms in the district.
Military personnel have been deployed to the district today too.
“Immigration unit” in Van for Yüksekova residents
“Immigration Unit” has been formed within the body of the municipality in province of Van in order to cooperate with families fleeing to Başkale district of the province from Yüksekova.
The unit detecting around 500 families has provided food and house staff.
Municipality Assembly Member Nazime Abi making statement on behalf of the Municipality Immıgration unit to Dicle News Agency, expressed that the unit formed to be in solidarity with the families from Yüksekova continues its operations. (AS/TK)
