Families of those who lost their lives in Gezi protest, and Suruç and Ankara bomb were at the scene where four people lost their lives in the attack on İstiklal street.
In their speech at the scene, they stated that their pain is common and hope number of these families won’t increase and that demanded trial against the ones who are responsible for the killings.
The families left red cloves.
Fethi Aydın: Our pain is common
Fethi Aydın, who lost his son Çağdaş Aydın in the explosion in Suruç which killed 33 people on July 20, 2015, spoke first on behalf of Suruç families:
“Our pain is common. We are here to have those responsible for the massacre tried, and communize our pain. We need to form brotherhood of people”.
Adnan Bulut: May no one undergo this pain
Adnan Bulut, the son of Meryem Bulut among the ones killed in peace rally in Ankara on October 10, 2015 said, “While we cry for the ones beyond our borders, we mourn in our own land”.
Bulut noting that the attacks have spread to a lot of countries said, “We are together to not have anyone undergo this pain”.
Sami Elvan: We don’t want the number of these families to increase
Sami Elvan, the father of Berkin Elvan who was killed by the gas cartridge hitting his head fired by the police in Gezi protests, said, “We want everyone to be together and request those responsible to be judged”.
“We don’t want the number of these families to increase”, added Elvan.
Fifth day after the attack
After the attack which left four dead, reparation works of the shops damaged by the attack are ending. Two of the shops closed as of Saturday opened.
Commemoration point set at the scene seems to be packed away. Waiting of the police on the street continues. (BK/TK)
