Two police officers and a soldier have been killed and nine security officers injured in the explosion which has occurred while armoured vehicles had been passing in Yüksekova district of Hakkari province in the southeast corner of Turkey.
The curfew declared on March 14 in Yüksekova district of Turkey’s is still in effect.
The attack has been carried out yesterday (March 22) around the Cengiz Topel street Old Prison intersection. Explosives paved on the road have been detonated by Civil Protection Units (YPS) while an armoured vehicle had been driving by.
Two police officers and a soldier have lost their lives whose identities have not been declared yet.
According to the report of Yüksekova News, the soldiers taken to Fatih Military Quarters with helicopters have been taken to Hakkari State Hospital for treatment. Some other wounded have been taken to Yüksekova State Hospital for treatment.

On the official website of the General Staff, it has been announced with regards to the operations carried out in the district that In the operations ongoing in Hakkari/Yüksekova; 12 separatist terrorist organization members have been neutralized, (the total number of those neutralized in the operations so far is 57).
