During operations carried out in Nusaybin district of Turkey's southeastern province Mardin, three soldiers have been killed, five others and a police officer injured in the clashes between YPS (Civil Protection Units) members and security forces.
According to the written statement made by the General Staff at 2.33 p.m., five soldiers and a police officer have been injured in the attack.
Also in the morning hours, special operations police officer Gökhan Osman Karaduman had lost his life due to detonation of an explosive paved on the road.
In the operations intensified following Karaduman’s death, YPS members have attacked on security forces with explosives and guns.
One police officer had been killed in the attack carried out by YPS members in Nusaybin yesterday (March 20) evening.
Nusaybin is under curfew since March 14. (EKN/DG)
