Solidarity Coordination from Sur to Cizre Formed

Solidarity Coordination from Sur to Cizre has announced the aid campaign initiated for peoples of Cizre, Silopi, Nusaybin, Dargeçit, Silvan, Derik and Sur.

Aids stated in requirement list within the scope of the campaign launched with the slogan “We Build Life Together Against War and Destruction”, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) will be gathered at Rojava Cooperation and Solidarity Association buildings.

“We don’t need compassion of those showing this might”

The coordination announced its foundation at Human Rights Association İstanbul Branch today (March 7).

Socialist Party of the Oppressed President Sultan Ulusoy, Revolutionist Party President Ufuk Güllü, Greens and the Left Party of the Future (YSGP), Socialist Party of Refoundation (SYKP), Alewi Associations Platform participated in the press meeting in which HDP Spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç, Gençay Gürsoy from HDP and Peace Block, Neslihan Güner from Rojava Cooperation and Solidarity Association, East and Southeast Foundations Platform Chairperson Abdülhakim Daş held the floor.

Kılıç reminding of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu’s words “They have seen our might, now it is time for compassion” has said, “We don’t need compassion of those showing this might, we will act in solidarity with the whole people as NGOs”.

Gürçoy noted, “We are face to face with state terrorism. We should spread on utmost effort against the dishonorable approach that ‘state destroys but also builds’”.

Güner expressing that within the frame of the campaign they have launched two months ago, aid of 12 articulated lorries have been dispatched from İstanbul, explained that they are trying to serve hot meal for 3,000 people every day.

Daş expressing that “they couldn’t sufficiently do their duty” as to the aids, has called for solidarity with respect to financial, moral, and food aids.

Actual requirement list

Benazir Coşkun reading the joint statement on behalf of the coordination has drawn attention to killings and financial losses in places on where curfews have been imposed.

Coşkun shared the daily requirement list as follows:

Oil, Rice, Dried Beans, Gravy, Lentil

Breakfast Food

Formula, Diaper

Sanitary Pad

Blanket, Sponge Mattress

New Shoe (for all age groups)
