The management of the Fan Page owned by musician Ferhat Tunç has been taken over from the musician following complaints after he has featured the promotion video of his latest album “Kobani”.
Making a statement to bianet, Tunç notes that they assumed that administration of the fan page has been taken over by Facebook and demands returning it back to him.
The album “Kobani” including 12 songs in Kurdish, Turkish and Armenian had been uploaded to Ferhat Tunç Fan Page.
5,000 have watched Kobani
The video has been watched by almost 5,000 persons and shared more than 1,500 times. Its administration has been taken over from musician Tunç over various complaints about the video.
Tunç notes that they had to experience many insults and threats after sharing the video. Pointing out that the administration of the fan page had been taken over from them without any warning, has remarked “We assume that our account has been blocked by Facebook, if it were hackers, there would have been different sharings”.
Tunç: This is an attack against the name ‘Kobani’
Noting that his fan page had been followed by 550 persons, Tunç has said; “In this way they are taking away our communication channel. This is an attack against the name ‘Kobani’. It is a shame that Facebook becomes an instrument for such a racist assault. Our album has come out with the banderol of the Ministry of Culture. We demand Facebook to return the administration of our page back to us.
Tunç has also noted that they had contacted Facebook on the issue but not received any response yet. (EA/DG)
