Cizre People’s Assembly Co-Chair Mehmet Tunç who was with the injured, has noted in his statement that they had been in the basement and heavy attacks had continued to be carried out on the building they were in.
He added that the second and third storeys of the building had been demolished, the windows of the basement they took shelter in had been covered with rubbles and it had not been possible anymore to breathe properly inside.
He noted that they had been struggling to attain water from possible locations in the building like from the boiler room as there had not been any water else and that this water caused new diseases by the injured.
Tunç has added that they had tried to dress the wounds of the injured with cottons they took out of pillows yesterday as there were no more medical dressing supplies and as of noon yesterday they had not been able to perform that neither. (AS/DG)
