Anti-Terror Teams of İstanbul Security Directorate have carried out a raid against Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Beyoğlu District building.
A large number of riot police and special operations teams backed the operation launched at around 7 a.m.
HDP Beyoğlu District Co-President, Ruken Demir, informing bianet said police broke into the building.
Demir stating there are many armored vehicles and riot control vehicles (TOMA) around the building expressed that no one is being let near the building.
Demir expressed that police carry on with their search by 9:35 a.m., no one is being let in, there is an HDP official inside and police entered accounting chamber under the official’s supervision.
Demir saying HDP Beyoğlu former district co-president Ahmet Teke has been detained in Esenler, said several people involved in HDP’s works have been taken into custody in Okmeydanı. (EKN/TK)
