Fatma Kılıç wounded during curfew between December 11-30 in Dargeçit district of Mardin provincej has lost her life in Mardin State Hospital where she was taken for treatment.
According to Fırat News Agency, Necmi Kılıç and his daughter Sabat Kılıç lost their lives due to fire opened by security forces on December 23, 2015 and Fatma Kılıç was heavily wounded. Fatma Kılıç died in the hospital yesterday morning (January 6).
Kılıç was buried in Mıcır Safa Cemetery.
About Dargeçit
One of 10 districts of Mardin. Its Kurdish name is Kerboran. It has become a district in 1987 by being separated from Midyat.
Dargeçit community has been consisting of Assyrians, Armenians, and Kurds throughout the history. Seven of ancient Assyrian churches are located in Dargeçit. Today only the Merkez Mor Kuruyakos Church (Central Purple Kuruyakos) is open.
