I am Walking Towards Peace Initiative (Barışa Yürüyorum İnsiyatifi) departing from Bodrum on December 27 with the slogan "Life over Death" reached in Diyarbakır today (December 31).
The group gathering in front of Diyarbakır Municipality Building along with Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Kongreya Jinên Azad (KJA) have with the slogan "Life over Death" started marching towards Sur where enduring curfew for 29 days.
The police attacked the group with riot control vehicle (TOMA) and pepper gas. The initiative has declared that following the attack, two people with the intiative have been detained.

According to report by Fırat News Agency, the group wanted to make a statement in front of Galeria Business Center. The police attacked the group with pepper gas and pressured water without any warning.

The initiative making its name heard with Facebook and Twitter accounts named "I am Walking Toward Peace" had said, "We call for everyone opposing all sorts of violent tendency targeting civilians to be together on this road".
DTK, DBP, HDK, HDP, and KJA emphasizing that the attacks in the region are not launched against Kurdish people only but all peoples in Turkey and humanity, had called for indefinite emergency action plan before heavier massacres lived. (BK/TK)
