The moments of Dilek Doğan shot to death in her house in Küçükarmutlu neighborhood of Sarıyer district in İstanbul during a search in her house revealed via police camera.

Doğan family and family’s attorneys have shared the footage as to killing of Dilek Doğan with the press.
According to Hürriyet daily, in the press meeting where attorneys Oya Aslan and Şükrüye Erden and the father, Metin Doğan, participated Aslan read the testimony of police officer Y.M. who allegedly killed Doğan.
After the testimony of the defendant police officer stating that he “made a move towards Mehmet Doğan’s rifle, they all holding him from his arms, clothes and rifle started to drag him towards the living room, and at that moment the rifle went off in a last ditch effort as he wanted to pull himself back”, it was proceeded to watching the footage of the incdient.
The moment of shooting
The footage police sent and included in the indictment composes of three sections. The firs footage displays the time police officers came in. Police officers say they will make a search after asking whether H.R.K. is at home. Meanwhile, members of Doğan family ask the officer to put on galosh.
The second footage starts with undercover police officers entering and searching the house. In the meantime, Dilek Doğan is seen entering the room with the police officers where search is being carried out.
While police camera shoots in the room at the time of police doing their search, dispute between the family and defendant police in the corridor is being heard. In those moments, older brother Mehmet Doğan says, “105-120 people died in Ankara, there is yet not a single police officer among them”. The defendant police officer responds, “What did I tell you, what did I tell you, what did I tell you”.
Dilek Doğan is shot to death at this moment.
The officer has not been arrested
Attorney Oya Aslan, stating the indictment prepared over crime of “wrongful death” and demanded jail term from 20 to 26 years based on testimonies of suspect police officer Y.M., noted that the case must be opened over “willful murder”.
Aslan added that their arrest demand for the suspect police officers has been rejected.
The father, Metin Doğan, has stated that the police officer who had raided their house 30 times before this time came with the intent to kill and that took the most precious member of the family from them. (NV/TK)
