Police Intervention in Protests against Curfews

Curfews and civilian deaths in Kurdish cities have been protested in many cities such as İstanbul, Van, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, and Adana.

Police attacked on the protests.

Police attacked a group gathering in front of Galatasaray Square with pressured water and pepper gas.

Police carried on with their attack with pressured water and pepper gas against a group of people in Tarlabaşı neighborhood of Taksim district in İstanbul. Some have been detained in the protest.

Adıyaman Labor and Democracy Platform members protested curfew and deaths.

Police used pepper gas on protesters in Ceyhan district of Turkey’s southern Adana district.

Police attacked on protesters in Turkey’s eastern province of Van.

Groups gathering in Yalova protested the curfews.

Police intervened in the protest beginning with the slogan “Let the negotiations begin, freedom to [Abdullah] Öcalan*” with pepper gas and riot control vehicel (TOMA).

Police intervention took place in the rally held in Antalya to protest against  the curfews and deaths. (NV/TK)
