Mersin Deputy Kürkçü called the human rights defenders and the legists for duty against the pressure on the victims of Roboski massacre.
BDP Mersin Deputy Ertuğrul Kürkçü made a press release at the Parliament and told that Roboski people were forced to withdraw their complaints by the mounting pressure.
"135 days have passed since the Uludere massacre and Uludere villagers are still subject to prosecutions, proceedings and they are forced to withdraw their complaints."
"When Uludere people began to express the things they've already told to investigation sub-commissions in public sphere, they ended up with the pressure of local military and judicial authorities"
"Villagers of Uludere are called for interrogation everyday on the pretext that they assaulted the district governor. Recently, university student Cabbar Yılmaz is arrested with charges attempting to kill Uludere district governor" reminded Kürkçü.
"Roboski people need legal support as they are under pressure after their relatives are massacred. Those people who oppress behave more courageous and unconcerned since there are no bar associations in Uludere."
"We are in a new violation of rights period; Uludere victims are seen as criminals as time goes by. I call all the bar associations, human rights organizations, legal associations and democratic mass organizations to show an interest in the problems of Uludere people and maintain solidarity for the victims of Roboski massacre."
Kürkçü also reminded that no public officials were interrogated as being the responsible of the massacre till now. (YY)
