19 out of the 43 state channel TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Association) employees detained within scope of the FETÖ (Fethullahist Terror Organization) investigation carried out
by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecution following the July 15 coup attempt have been arrested.
The 43 people were brought to the Ankara Courthouse yesterday (August 18) after their questioning at the police station, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
Of the 43 detained, four individuals, including a newscaster and inspectors, were released following the prosecution questioning.
The prosecutor referred the other 24 to the Criminal Judicatory of Peace for arrest, and referred 15 for release on probation.
The Criminal Judicatories of Peace ordered the arrest of 19 of the suspects and release on probation for 20.
