“According to the new model, here are the things a youth should do to rise in politics:
Firstly, you will star in a raid with stones and sticks.
You will be on the agenda on account of the newspaper raid and it will make you extremely happy.
You will scream as ‘We will make you (Recep Tayyip Erdoğan) president regardless of the elections results’…You will show that you are behind even an understanding of democracy that is merely fixed on election and polls.
You will say addressing a newspaper, ‘I went to his home, I would beat him up’, and for the other you will say ‘He has never been beaten’.
If you do those…
Here are the things that await you:
Firstly… Party authorities will pat you saying ‘Come on, our kid just made a small mistake, there is no need to make a big deal out of it’….
Then… You will be honored by being assigned to the highest council membership of party’s most important congress…
Afterwards, you will show up in photos with ministers and prime ministers displaying you are the apple of their eyes…
Finally… You will be appointed to one of the top positions in bureaucracy as ‘Deputy Minister’".
What had happened?
Boynukalın had entered parliament as AKP MP from İstanbul in June 7 elections.
Boynukalın losing his deputyship by November 1 general elections had said, “I was planning to go to his house in Nişantaşı today. I would go and wait there to say ‘come over here’. Our mistake was to not beat them up earlier”, as he was talking to a group of people following Hürriyet attack. (EA/TK)
