* Working on organizing a panel on Hydroelectric Power Plants at the university, making phone calls about this.

* Sticking 'We demand free education and transport' labels on the walls.

During the interrogation of the prosecution it was also understood that the telephone records of 20-years-old Aykurt had been listened for 2 years.

Aykurt accepted his writing 'Say No to YÖK' and 'Long live the brotherhood of peoples' on the walls and he didn't deny that he had a free education demand.

An appeal was filed on May 16th.

"Burak Aykurt is a student trying to study with the pocket money sent from his retired parents so it's very ordinary for him to ask for free education and transport"

"They could only find the writings on the wall as evidence although they listened to Mr.Aykurt's telephone calls for 2 years. These writings and telephone calls are not related to terrorist organization membership or propaganda."

The Court has not yet responded to the appeal. (AS)
