The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has declared that date and content of Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) changed. According to the new system, the TYT won’t be held in a single day.
YÖK: Partial changes have been made
The written statement issued by the YÖK read, “Considering Council of Higher Education’s basic function of serving society, it is normal for the council to pay attention to opinions and criticisms. As a result of the deliberations and analyses carried out within this frame, changes have been made in the TYT to reduce and eliminate concerns of the public and families”.
Religion, philosophy and history questions have been included in the new exam.
During the Justice and Development Party (AKP) government, university entrance exam has been changed for five times including the latest amendment over the 15 years. (PT/TK)
