Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) has marked up natural gas by 9 percent for housing and 18.5 percent for industrial use.
Reuters announced the raise, state-run AA didn’t cover it
While Reuters announced that price raise in natural gas, state-run Anadolu Agency didn’t report the raise.
As of 10 a.m., Demirören News Agency (DHA) also didn’t cover the raise.
Raise in every month since August
Natural gas was marked up in August and September as well.
In August, natural gas price was increased by 9 percent in housing and 14 percent in big businesses in both August and September.
Joining live broadcast on Açık Radyo this morning (October 1), economist Ali Bile sait that the reason for the prices to be raised on the first day of the month is to leave the effects of raises on inflation to next month. (EKN/TK)
