Paypal, online payment platform, has announced that it had stopped its operations in Turkey.
Accordingly, PayPal customers will not be able to send or receive money via their PayPal accounts as of june 6.
In its statement sent to its customers and published on its website, PayPal has announced that the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency has rejected their application for licence and ordered to halt its operations in Turkey.
In the statement, PayPal has also informed that they would carry out their works to receive necessary permission in order to provide services to its clients again.
PayPal users should log in their Paypal account and should transfer their existing money to another bank account in Turkey.
PayPal has been serving approximately 184 million users in 26 different currencies on 203 markets. (ÇT/DG)
