In the fire which broke out at the Quran course in the Turkey’s southeastern Karaağaç village of Kulp district of Diyarbakır province, six children at the age of 15 and 16 have lost their lives and three others have been injured.
In the fire which broke out at 02.04 p.m., Quran course students Muhammed Bingöl, Sabahattin Altun, Serhat Sancar, Suat Çankaya, Şahin Kahraman and Nurmuhamed Bayka have lost their lives.
Children injured at the boarding Quran course in the Karaağaç village 17 km away from Kulp district of Diyarbakır, have been transported to Dr. Abdullah Biroğul Kulp District State Hospital and taken into treatment.
According to the first estimations of the authorities of Kulp district fire department, the fire in the two-story course building 400 meters away from the village has arisen from an electrical water heater.
An overall investigation about the fire has been launched. (YY/DG)
