Justice and Development Party (AKP) Bartın MP Yılmaz Tunç has submitted the bill proposing for a “Child Rights Commission” to be established to the Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Speakership.
Common attitude of the parties
In an interview to state-run Anadolu Agency, Tunç stressed that the other three parties had proposed a bill about this matter and that these bills were referred to the TBMM Constitutional Commission.
Tunç stated that the bills might be combined and be discussed at the General Assembly after the constitutional amendment referendum.
The commission will receive the applications
When the child rights are violated, applications will be able to made to the commission. The commission will examine these and inform the relevant authorities when it deems as necessary.
The commission to examine the child rights violations abroad when it is necessary, will submit these violations to the respective country directly or via parliamentary forums. (YY/TK)
