Tuba Çandar’s Hrant Dink biography has been issued in English.
In Tuba Çandar’s other book “Hrant”, his wife Rakel Dink, his children, relatives, childhood friends and persons who have shared their lives with him had told about Hrant Dink.
The book which was primarily published by Everest Publications in 2010 was reintroduced by the Armenian Studies to English with the title “Hrant Dink: An Armenian Voice of the Voiceless in Turkey” on the 9th anniversary of Dink's assassination, in Jan.19, 2016.
The Introduction of the book has been written by the retired Professor of Gerard Michigan University Modern Armenian History Alex Manouqian Seat Libaridian and it has been translated by Prof. Maureen Freely.
Tuba Çandar
She was born in 1948 in İstanbul. She completed her secondary education in the U.S. following the Austrian High School in İstanbul. She graduated Ankara University Political Sciences Faculty.
She has worked as the chief editor of the magazine “Bizim Almanca (Our German)” issued within the body of Cumhuriyet daily. She was the editor in chief of the magazine “Gergedan” and has written culture-art and travel writings for “Yeni Yüzyıl” daily and the column “Portreler (Portraits)” for Gazete Pazar. (EA/DG)
