Constitutional Court Finds Irregularities In CHP Accounts

The Constitutional Court determined irregularities in four accounts of the Republican People’s Party and decided to file a criminal report with the Chief Prosecutor.

The Constitutional Court completed its financial inspection of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) and found irregularities.

According to CNNTurk.com, the court determined the following financial irregularities in the accounts: in 1998 35 billion 386 million 533 thousand 328 TL, in 2004 267 thousand 860 YTL 57 YKr, in 2005 161 thousand 620 YTL 2YKr, in 2006 465 thousand 660 YTL 10 YKr expense irregularities. The Court decided to file a complaint with the Ankara Chief Prosecutor.

It will file a criminal complaint

The court reached the decision to transfer an equivalent amount of the CHP assets to the Treasury.

The court also decided to file a criminal report with the Ankara Chief Prosecutor regarding the party members who are responsible for the irregularities.

Kılıç: It cannot lead to a closure

According to ntvmsncb.com, Haşim Kılıç, the president of the Constitutional Court said that the irregularities could not lead to a closure: “Our laws and our Constitution are clear. There is nothing here that can lead to a closure. (NZ/EZÖ/TB)
